Dear Expectant Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. After you get a sense of who we are, if you were to choose us as parents for your child, we would be honored. Based on our experience as high school teachers, we have worked with many parents-to-be and know this is the toughest decision you’ve ever had to make. You do have choices, and we have all the confidence in the world that you will make the best decision for you and your child.
While we were dating, the topic of family and the importance of having children was discussed early on in our relationship since we both came from fairly large, tight-knit families. Shortly after we were married Stacey became pregnant, but soon thereafter we learned it was a tubal pregnancy. Since then, Stacey went on to have three miscarriages. At that point we sought fertility treatment. For over two years we underwent numerous IVF cycles to no avail. We now are thrilled to say that we have added to our family through open adoption. We are the proud parents of Jake who was born in June 2011.
If you choose our family, the day Phil, Stacey and Jake bring him or her home will complete our family. It will be among the happiest days of our lives, and the beginning of many firsts. All we want is the opportunity to share our already great lives with another child, let Jake have the opportunity to be an older brother and provide another child with a loving, supportive and nurturing family.
We can't wait to introduce the newest member of our family. Everyone, from friends and family, wants to know when Jake will have a little brother or sister. We are so lucky to have such support.
As parents we want to create opportunities for our children to have a good education, embrace diversity, and explore their own talents. We look forward to proudly watching our children reach their personal potential in all facets of their lives.
We realize the importance of our child knowing you, their birthparents, and you to know how they are growing. Whatever amount of openness you are comfortable with, we will honor and respect that decision.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
Warm Regards,
Phil and Stacey
